– Maria Espinoza of Lima, Peru has suffered with severe, chronic bouts of asthma for more than 35 years.
“I started feeling tired and I couldn’t breathe,” Maria remembers. “Sometimes I had to sit up all night long.”
Over the years, Maria had to take pills, liquid syrups and other medicines when the asthma would strike.
Says Maria, “I felt desperate. I was very sick, and the medicines I was given at the hospital affected me too.”
One day while Maria was watching television, she found a program that she hadn’t seen before -- The 700 Club in Spanish. As she watched, the hosts began to pray for miracles.
“And I said, ‘God do you only heal in the U.S.?’” explains Maria. “If you want, you can heal me too! That is what I said.”
Maria says she felt an urge to visit the CBN Prayer Counseling Center. There she prayed and received Jesus as her savior.
”I felt happy,” Maria exclaims. “I had never experienced such happiness as I did on that occasion.”
Soon after that prayer, Maria realized something else had changed!
”I can’t say how much time had passed when I realized I was healed!” says Maria. “Healed!”
Today, Maria is a 700 Club partner in Peru, not just because God uses the program to touch so many others -- but He used the program to touch her.
