Christian Leadership to Change the World
A Father’s Love and Leadership
CBN.com Each month, we showcase the unsung leaders of the community; those individuals that practice leadership daily yet are often unrecognized for the roles that they hold. The following spotlights demonstrate that leadership can, and does, come from anywhere, and from anyone in the world.
“Father! - to God himself we cannot give a holier name.” -- William Wordsworth
Padre. Papa. Old Man. Dad. The moniker for the patriarchal figure in our lives varies as much as the type of relationship we keep. As children, our fathers are a source of inspiration and of guidance, a steadfast presence that shapes the pathways of our lives and sets our expectations for the future. Fathers raise us up when we fall, push us to go farther, and, most importantly, they believe in our ability to succeed. Our fathers are leaders, in every sense of the word. And it is because of their leadership that we are able to lead ourselves.
How has your father shown leadership in his lifetime? How has he helped you become the person, and the leader, you are today? This month, take time to celebrate his achievements, and the achievements of fathers everywhere.
