Police: Pastor Has Two Wives, Molesting Conviction

INDIANAPOLIS - A minister at an Indianapolis church has been arrested on two counts of bigamy.
Spencer Osborne, who's listed as assistant pastor of New Covenant Baptist Church, also was told to register as a sex offender for his 1993 conviction for molesting a seven-year-old girl.
Police say the case began with an anonymous tip that Osborne was married to two women.
Investigators later learned of the 1993 conviction, which predated the establishment of Indiana's sex-offender registry. Police Lieutenant Dave Young says police were concerned that Osborne was taking care of children and teaching Sunday school.
