DAYTON, Ohio - A political action committee called the "Matthew 25 Network" is running an ad on Christian radio stations in Ohio endorsing Barack Obama for president.
The ad features former Congressman Tony Hall, who suggests that Obama's policies will answer Jesus' call to help the poor, especially those struggling in today's economy.
Hall, an Ohio Democrat, also served as ambassador to the United Nations' food agencies.
The ad is intended to sway listeners to Christian radio, who have tended to vote overwhelmingly for Republican candidates.
The Matthew 25 Network describes itself as a group of Catholic, Protestant, Pentecostal and Evangelical Christians.
