Texas Man Rescued from Gas Well

CBNNews.com - CRESSON, Texas - Emergency personnel rescued a man about three hours after he fell 40 feet into a narrow gas well shaft outside Cresson, Texas.
The man was pulled from the shaft at about 11 a.m. Tuesday. Cpl. Pam Jetsel of the Johnson County Sheriff's Department said he was wedged tightly in the 14-inch-by-18-inch shaft and having trouble breathing.
Jetsel said an emergency call came in about 8 a.m. from the site of the shaft, which she said is 60 feet to 80 feet deep.
Five area fire departments responded to the accident scene near Cresson, about 25 miles south of Fort Worth.
